Llyn Brenig Reservoir

A graphical waterfall with water swing

The feature consists of an illuminated water printer and swing set for visitors of the reservoir to enjoy. This computerised waterfall with attached swing set gives the impression you are going to be saturated by a cascading sheet of water, only for the water to disappear at the last possible time, leaving you dry.

The feature is situated over a large pool and water drops down from the printer whilst the user swings, with sensors stopping the water to allow the user through without getting wet. There is also a ‘Roulette’ function whereby the water may not stop if the user desires. An inclusive seat with harness has also been provided to allow those with lesser abled bodies to safely use the swing.

The feature is controlled via a Bluetooth enabled tablet which can also be used to draw words and shapes for the printer to display.

A kiosk adjacent to the feature houses the pumps, filtration equipment and electrical distribution board.

A sensor that prevents unwanted water flow works continuously even when the water swing seat is at rest.
